So amidst the continuing banking storm, the folks at Reuters www.reuters.com yesterday published an article with the latest bank rankings.
The big news?
J.P. Morgan Chase has become the largest U.S. bank by assets, surpassing long-time leader Citigroup. Of particular interest to those of us here in Charlotte, Bank of America may pass J.P. Morgan as the largest U.S. bank by assets when it completes its acquisition of Merrill Lynch, scheduled for the first quarter of 2009.
